Detailed description

Our clients are at the heart of everything we do so as part of our Creative Wellbeing focus, we provide activities under the categories of Arts and Craft, Music, Performance/Drama and Creative Writing. These are provided in a supported environment to help improve confidence and self-esteem, working with each individual towards recovery and improving overall well-being. Our Creative Wellbeing activity area is a very social space, and you will build trusting relationships with clients, making them feel involved and engaged. As part of the team, you will assist in preparing activities and inspire clients to get involved. You will also help the activity engagement workers maintain the workspace and materials used.

The role would require you to be a good listener with a pleasant personality and a good sense of humour. You will be non-judgemental, be able to provide support and encouragement and work well as part of a team with our Creative Wellbeing workers.

About PKAVS Walled Garden & Wisecraft

The Walled Garden and Wisecraft (PKAVS) provides mental health and wellbeing support based across two service locations, The Walled Garden in Perth and Wisecraft in Blairgowrie.

We support people (aged 16+) on their journey of recovery to lead healthy, active, inclusive, and connected lives, through a range of meaningful and skilled-based activities. We use an integrated care approach and work towards moving people into positive destinations by increasing resilience, confidence, and skills. We use horticulture in a therapeutic manner, as well as offering creative arts, physical and nutritional activity, woodwork, and food preparation engagement options.

The Walled Garden & Wisecraft is a service within PKAVS, a charity supporting the wellbeing of people and communities throughout Perth & Kinross. Our work is guided by these four values:
- We Show Compassion
- We’re In This Together
- We Speak From The Heart
- We Make An Impact
