Minibus Driver
Are you under the age of 73? Do you have a D1 classification on your driving licence (automatically included if you passed your test before 1997, but needs to be renewed at 70 after taking a medical, paid for by Bertie Bus)? If so would you like to drive Bertie on one or two weekday afternoons per month taking groups to cafes, shops, the local library etc?
All familiarisation / training including MiDAS (Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme) will be provided and paid for by Bertie Bus. Training is provided as appropriate on the following: driver familiarisation; PA familiarisation; Covid Protocol, MiDAS, First Aid, and Dementia Awareness training.
Please note that all volunteers are enrolled with Disclosure Scotland’s PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.

About Bertie Bus
Bertie Bus, originally named Strathcare, was formed in 1975 to coordinate the activities of various local clubs and has evolved into providing outings for groups with a need for specialised transport.
We pride ourselves on giving our passengers a door-to-door service in a purpose-built minibus. Our activities are provided by volunteers and financial support is almost entirely by way of donations, grants and fundraising.
Bertie Bus is a registered charity.
