Support someone towards living their life how they want and becoming connected to their communities.
You could be taking someone shopping, improving their mobility through walking, helping them to re-engage with their community or just being there to improve their confidence and reduce their isolation.
However you help, you could make a real difference to people's lives.
You'll work with someone to find out what would improve their life, then support them to take positive steps so that they can connect with their community and reduce their isolation. This might mean one-to-one or group activities, or tie in with other services in the area – whatever that person needs. Something that's rewarding both for you and the people you support.
We've also got opportunities for people with specific skills, so let us know what your strengths are when we meet.
You'll get relevant training for your role and be welcomed and supported by a friendly, local team.

The Royal Voluntary Service supports older and vulnerable people throughout Perth and Kinross by enabling them to live their lives at home more independently. We do this by helping them with their shopping, community engagement or simply some basic companionship.
We also have a social club and 3 lunch clubs that provide an opportunity for members of the community to socialise with new friends.
