Help us to continue transforming our South Field from a building site to a haven for wildlife!
We will be continuing work in our South Field, just below the Destiny Bridge - this may include tree planting, seed sowing, or planting aquatic plants in our new pond. The site is pretty muddy at the moment so please wear suitable footwear! And as always, the Scottish weather can be unpredictable, so please bring waterproofs and layers. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There will be hot drinks and cake back at the Bumblebee Bothy at the allotments 🙂
We will be meeting at Denmarkfield Allotments. Where possible please walk or cycle to the site. If you need to drive, you can park at the Luncarty Memorial Hall, which is approximately a 7 minute walk away. Please be mindful of leaving space for local residents to get round the back of the hall for the recycling.
We will be working close to the new Destiny Bridge Parking which has capacity for around 8 cars. If you are driving and want to try park there and meet us down in the South Field, we will be stationed in the land under the bridge and you can walk to it via the riverside path. We will arrive there around 10.20. Please get in touch you have any questions.

About Rewilding Denmarkfield
Rewilding Denmarkfield is a 91-acre site on ex-arable farmland, managed to support biodiversity and nature restoration. We also work with local people and groups to provide opportunities for outdoor learning and connection, conservation volunteering, and organic growing at our on-site allotments. We know how worrying the issues around climate and nature can feel. On the other side of it, we know how calming and worthwhile it can feel to be a part of a community group working to learn about, protect, and enhance nature. Our relaxed monthly Friends of Denmarkfield volunteer sessions offer this opportunity - from orchard care to tree planting to seed collection - as do our bird and pollinator surveys which happen during the week. Please do get in touch if you have any questions about volunteering at Denmarkfield!
