Make a real difference in someone’s life. We are looking for compassionate and committed individuals to join our Citizen Advocacy Project.

What does a Citizen Advocate do?

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Build a one-to-one, long-term relationship with an advocacy partner
  • Listen, encourage, and help them express their views and wishes
  • Stand alongside them to ensure their voice is heard
  • Promote self-advocacy

Who are we looking for?

You don’t need special qualifications—just:

  • Empathy, patience, and reliability
  • Good listening skills
  • A commitment building a trusting relationship
  • Confident to speak up for your advocacy partner (where appropriate)

 What you’ll gain:

  • Full training and ongoing support
  • Valuable experience in advocacy
  • The chance to make a lasting impact in someone’s life
  • Personal growth and new connections

The role will be in the local community and is not office based
