Make a real difference in someone’s life. We are looking for compassionate and committed individuals to join our Citizen Advocacy Project.
What does a Citizen Advocate do?
As a volunteer, you will:
- Build a one-to-one, long-term relationship with an advocacy partner
- Listen, encourage, and help them express their views and wishes
- Stand alongside them to ensure their voice is heard
- Promote self-advocacy
Who are we looking for?
You don’t need special qualifications—just:
- Empathy, patience, and reliability
- Good listening skills
- A commitment building a trusting relationship
- Confident to speak up for your advocacy partner (where appropriate)
