Volunteer with GWT to connect and support groups and organisations develop intergenerational work in your local community.
Detailed description
Join Generations Working Together (GWT) as we work towards a Scotland where generations are more connected. If you would like to get involved in intergenerational work, learn more about the practice, and help strengthen community connections across Perth and Kinross, this could be the perfect volunteer role for you!
Core Tasks
- Help one of our development team members plan and run 2–3 local network meetings each year.
- Spread the word about the benefits of intergenerational work within your community.
- Share and promote GWT events, meetings, publications, and training opportunities.
- Connect with local groups and encourage them to showcase their intergenerational projects through the network and GWT.
Skills and Experienced Required
- An interest in bringing different generations together.
- Excellent communication skills and good organisational skills.
- Experience of networking in the community and forging connections would be beneficial.
Support and Training
- Induction of the role and one to one support from a GWT member.
- Free CPD accredited training, giving you the skills to support intergenerational work in your own community.
- Reasonable expenses covered.
