Do you love meeting people and being part of the action? As an Event Volunteer, you’ll represent Canine Partners at Paws at the Palace, helping to raise awareness, chatting to attendees, taking donations, and supporting on-the-day activities like setting up, selling raffle tickets, and packing down.
Paws at the Palace will feature doggy fun and games, parades of different breeds, agility classes and some paw-some demonstrations.
The all day event will also include food stalls (for humans and dogs), cool-down areas, and a host of stall holders selling doggy gear and gifts.
About the opportunity
This role is a one-off event supporting Canine Partners at Paws at the Palace. You will be provided with an event brief beforehand to ensure you’re happy with the requirements.
What’s involved
- Raising awareness of Canine Partners and what we do
- Promoting fundraising activities at the event (selling raffle tickets, etc)
- Handing out leaflets, taking donations
- Set up and pack away on event day
- Passing on any leads to the Community Fundraising team
Role Requirements
- Age 18 or over
- Access to transport to the venue
- Polite, confident and personable manner
- Excellent customer service skills
- This requires standing for the duration of the event and being in a busy environment. Please advise us if you have any concerns about this, and we will do our best to support you
Support and Training
