Friends of CHAS Kinross-shire, a dedicated fundraising group based in Kinross, is looking for new volunteers to join our team and help raise funds for CHAS.

Why we want you

Fundraising groups are the local face of CHAS in the community. We are looking for volunteers to join our fundraising groups across Scotland. The groups plan and deliver events and activities in the local community to raise vital funds for CHAS.

You can either join your local group or if there is no group in your local area we will support you to set up your own group.

The aim of the role is to work within a group to plan and deliver fundraising events to raise money to support children with a life-shortening condition across Scotland.

What you will be doing

  • Planning, organising and promoting fundraising events and collections with other group members
  • Representing CHAS at community events and raising awareness
  • Banking money raised and potentially keeping the records of the group’s accounts
  • Acting as an ambassador for CHAS by building community networks
  • Attending group meetings

The skills you need

  • An ability to represent CHAS enthusiastically and appropriately
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Where managing finances, numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Adhere to rules around GDPR and a strong understanding of confidentiality
